Pal escapes from his woes of bankruptcy and immerses himself in the world of raising exotic chickens while his wife, Liza, tries to keep the family farm afloat. Meanwhile, in the chicken coop, two roosters and two hens parallel the couple’s life and get down and dirty with the pressures of egg fertilization, the country poultry fair and the question of flying.

Runtime: 2 hours, including a 15-minute intermission

Times: Thurs-Fri at 8:00 pm, first & third Saturdays at 8 pm, second and fourth Saturdays at 2 pm, Sundays at 2:00 pm, closing on September 29th.

THE PLAYWRIGHT

Lucia Frangione is an internationally produced award winning actor and author with thirty stage plays to her name. Plays include: Disrupted, Kindred, The Thin Man, Espresso, Leave of Absence, Fresco, Paradise Garden, Cariboo Magi, Christmas on the Air and Chickens. She currently has a play in development with the Firehall Theatre.
As an actor she has worked in regional theatres across Canada.
Her debut novel, Grazie, is a BC best seller and published with Talon Books.
Frangione has won the Outstanding Actor in a Leading role Jessie Richardson award (Vancouver), the Gordon Armstrong Award (twice) (Vancouver), the Sydney Risk playwriting award (Vancouver) ,The CAEA emerging artist award (Canada)and The Unknown Country award (NY, NY).
Lucia lives in Vancouver, BC, with her husband, daughter and step son.
